The following itinerary provides a good indication for what you can expect during your trip to Fiji, however, please note that there may be some small changes due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on our transport and accommodation partners.
October 2nd: On arrival into Nadi airport in Fiji, you will be warmly greeted and taken to your accommodation near Nadi. You will have the day to relax after your long journey and enjoy a complimentary massage to help you unwind and settle into "Fiji time". In the evening, we'll enjoy a special welcome dinner.
October 3rd: Your day will begin with an inspiring workshop led by Vallori Thomas. Vallori is an award-winning author and certified coach. She has a penchant for igniting passion and purpose in others. In the afternoon, we'll head out together to do some shopping and to visit a local market. At the local market, we'll purchase fresh produce for your special cooking class in the kitchen, which will result in a delicious dinner together!
October 4th: We'll depart after breakfast for Denarau marina to await our boat. We will be traveling in the Captains Lounge to make the most of a comfortable 3-hour boat ride with incredible views of the Fijian islands. On arrival to the island where we'll be staying, we will be welcomed by the Fijian staff, nearly all of whom come from the island itself. They will introduce us to their island home and we will settle into our bures (traditional Fijian cottages). You will have the remainder of the day to experience island life. The island where you'll be staying is not a typical 'resort'. Rather, it is all about living simply, comfortably and sustainably. It is deliberately designed to give you the opportunity to reconnect with nature and reflect on what is truly important in your life.
October 5th: Today you will visit a local village. During your visit you will learn about the way of life in Fiji and you will have the opportunity to begin learning about what makes Fiji and Fijians who they are. You will also have the opportunity to learn about how your donation (included within your trip fee) will be used to support the well-being of the people you meet. You will have plenty of time following your visit to reflect on your experiences and discuss with your fellow GOOD travellers and trip facilitators.
October 6th: Today is all about relaxing and taking the time to process the experiences of the past few days. You'll have the day to enjoy the beach, connect with local people and your fellow travelers, and truly experience what it means to live on "Fiji time". This is also a perfect day to enjoy some of Fiji's famous drinks from fresh coconut water to tropical cocktails! In the afternoon, Vallori Thomas will lead a second workshop with you and this will be followed by your final dinner together on the island.
October 7th: After a leisurely morning to say farewell to the island and the local people you have spent time with on the island, we will return by boat to Denarau. Once again, we will be traveling in the Captains Lounge to make the most of a comfortable 3-hour boat ride with incredible views of the Fijian islands. We will arrive back at Denarau at approximately 6pm. For those of you returning home to the USA, the majority of flights are in the evening so we will transfer you directly to the airport. However, if you would prefer to stay longer in Fiji or have an additional night in Nadi before beginning your journey home, please contact us and we can help arrange this for you.
This trip has been carefully designed to ensure that the local community, environment and economy benefit from your visit. For example:
