This trip will take you on a journey for 6 days and 5 nights through beautiful Ghana, taking in stunning natural landscapes, experiencing local food and culture and meeting wonderful Ghanaian people along the way. Trip Highlights
Day 1 - 26th November
Your trip will begin in Accra this morning where you will meet your trip leader Vallori Thomas and your local Ghanaian guide. Together you will travel in a private air conditioned bus to Cape Coast and spend the afternoon settling in to your accommodation and getting to know your fellow travellers.
Day 2 - 27th November
This morning your trip leader Vallori Thomas will lead you in a facilitated SOUL care workshop - "Sourcing Our Unlimited Living and Lifestyle". This workshop will set the tone for the rest of your Possibilitarian Retreat.
In the afternoon, you'll visit the stunning Kakum National Park - a locally established national park that boasts stunning tropical forest, a protected habitat for many of Ghana's endangered species, and a 130ft high canopy walkway. You'll also visit Elmina Castle - one of the oldest European buildings on the African continent and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 3 - 28th November
After breakfast today you'll spend time volunteering with a community organisation, giving back to the people and places who you are visiting.
In the afternoon you'll say goodbye to the beautiful Cape Coast and travel back to Accra.
Day 4 - 29th November
For your first full day in Accra, you'll be able to visit some of Ghana's most significant historical sites and learn about the country's rich and turbulent history.
You'll visit the mausoleum of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president, and learn about the independence movement.
You'll also spend time visiting the Door of No Return which marks the place many Africans forced in to slavery departed the African continent. It will be a reflective afternoon learning about this dark period of history that links Ghana and the US.
Day 5 - November 30th
Today you'll spend the day taking in the culture and vibrancy of Accra. You'll visit the lively and historically significant Jamestown neighbourhood where you can soak up the Ghanaian music, dance and arts scene.
As this will be your final full day in Ghana, it is also the perfect time to purchase some souvenirs to take home from the local arts centre. There will also be time for a spa treatment if you'd like to take the chance for some body and soul care before departing Ghana.
In the evening you'll have your final dinner together as a group and say farewell to the people you've shared this incredible five days with.
Day 6 - December 1st
It's time to say goodbye to Ghana!
You'll need to book your return flight to depart today, and your guide will assist you to arrange an airport transfer.
Note: if you'd like to stay an extra night in Accra at the end of your trip, or to arrive a day early at the beginning of your trip, GOOD Travel can arrange an optional extra night of accommodation for you. We can arrange this when you have booked your flights to Ghana.
The trip will be led by Vallori Thomas. In addition, a number of experienced local guides will be involved in various aspects of the trip.

A practitioner of Context Mastery with more than a decade of experience in team/group dynamics, communication, and both one-to-one and group coaching, her expertise also encompasses process-improvement, vision-building and breakthrough learning. She also travels extensively to deliver keynote addresses, motivational speeches, and transformative workshops. She has led retreats with GOOD Travel to numerous other destinations, including Fiji, Brazil, South Africa, Thailand, Bali, Australia and New Zealand.
