Terms of Service

Featured Businesses

GOOD Travel’s mission is to promote and facilitate travel that gives back to the local community, economy and environment. Our goal is to encourage GOOD, but we are NOT a business accreditation/certification programme. Businesses mentioned on GOOD Travel’s website, blog, social media channels, or emails have been collated by GOOD Travel representatives based on online information, correspondence, reviews, or on occasion, staff trips. Beyond this, the information is not verified by GOOD Travel. Many businesses have not been visited by a member of staff from GOOD Travel.

We aim to equip and empower travellers with questions to help them navigate and identify GOOD businesses for themselves. Featured businesses are not always a representation of a direct recommendation, and GOOD Travel is not liable for any errors or mistakes made by these businesses. We acknowledge that the concept of doing GOOD is complex and challenging. We foster continued learning and improvement within GOOD Travel and we also encourage this among our partner businesses. We share good practices from around the world with businesses through a business newsletter so that they are encouraged to continually learn, reflect and adapt their business practices. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact us. We value all feedback. Thank you.

Insurance

GOOD Travel has partnered with World Nomads to encourage GOOD travellers to purchase travel insurance. World Nomads is a separate company to GOOD Travel and not directly affiliated to GOOD Travel. Their coverage of COVID-19 is dependent on the country of origin and the destination. Any questions relating to your travel insurance should be directed to World Nomads directly. Terms and conditions regarding your travel insurance are governed by World Nomads. GOOD Travel cannot be held responsible for anything related to your travel insurance.

Refunds

GOOD Travel trip deposits are non-refundable. If trip participants choose to pay in installments, then the first installments received up to the value of the deposit are non-refundable.

In the case that GOOD Travel should have to cancel a trip on account of COVID-related disruptions, deposits will be transferable as a credit to other trips or travellers, and any expenses not yet incurred will be refunded.

GOOD Travel and our partners reserve the right to cancel any element of the trip in the case of unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside of GOOD Travel’s control. For example, weather conditions, strike not allowing operation or putting it at risk, sudden inaccessibility of route, unexpected health and safety concerns, etc.

In case GOOD Travel is required to cancel an element of the trip, an alternative solution will be proposed where possible. In case no alternative is feasible, expenses that have already been incurred will not be refunded, but any expenses not yet incurred will be refunded.

COVID-19 and Trips

90 days prior to the departure of a trip, GOOD Travel will assess the risk in regard to COVID-19 in the destination and will cancel should the risk be deemed too high.

We believe the safest way to protect our travellers, trip leaders, partners and communities we visit, is through vaccination and testing, therefore we require the following of all our trip participants:

We require all trip participants to be vaccinated (with certain exceptions).

We require all trip participants to meet their destination's COVID-19 testing requirements, at their own cost.

In the case that a participant tests positive prior to their departure, their trip will be cancelled and any expenses not yet incurred will be refunded.

In the case that a participant tests positive for COVID-19 during a GOOD Travel trip, any extra expenses incurred (testing, self-isolation accommodation, travel changes) will be payable by the participant. The trip will be halted and testing will be required for all participants

Travel Documents and Insurance

You must be in possession of a valid passport, any necessary visas and evidence of any required vaccinations and your negative COVID-19 test result. This is your responsibility.

You must obtain adequate and valid travel insurance. This is compulsory for all GOOD Travel clients and is a condition of your booking. We strongly recommend you take out insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed. Your insurance should cover COVID-19 related expenses.

Any information or advice given by GOOD Travel on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment, etc is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of the company.
